Admitted to the Lyon Bar in 2016, I founded my firm more than ten years ago after living and working abroad in Brussels, London, Washington D.C., and Douala. That experience of being “the foreigner” myself in several countries shapes how I practice today: I understand first-hand the administrative, human, and professional challenges my clients face.

A graduate of Sciences Po Lyon, I have chosen to devote my entire practice to French immigration law, excluding asylum matters. My firm handles the full range of immigration procedures in France: residence permit applications and renewals, exceptional leave to remain (admission exceptionnelle au séjour), naturalization, family reunification, as well as litigation before the administrative courts and courts of appeal — including challenges to deportation orders (OQTF), emergency injunctions (référé), and judicial review of decisions issued by the immigration authorities (ANEF) and local prefectures. I also handle French nationality law matters: acquisition by decree or declaration, challenges to refusals to register a declaration of nationality, and actions to establish French nationality before the Judicial Court.

Over ten years of practice, I have assisted several thousand individuals and businesses with their immigration matters, as reflected in the firm’s Google reviews. I also share my expertise free of charge on my YouTube channel @cabinetgillioen2015, where I explain the latest developments in French immigration law each week and break down key court decisions (Conseil d’État, Courts of Administrative Appeal) to make them accessible to everyone. I also publish monthly articles on the firm’s blog covering current issues in immigration law.

The firm is based at 185 Rue Duguesclin in Lyon, and I assist clients throughout France as well as those living abroad.
